I had an awesome time at the Canadian Golf & Country Club's Bridal Fair on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. I was fortunate to meet a lot of couples who are mostly planning for their 2014 weddings (though a few were for this year too). In addition to meeting couples I had the opportunity to meet with other wedding vendors who share the same passion that I do for weddings - each was hand picked by Gail (from the Canadian Golf & Country Club) to participate in the event, I am so grateful to be among such high quality individuals who take weddings seriously.

Antonia (below, centre) is an artist who is mobile for you - she will take care of your hair at your home or hotel - and she has such a friendly and open personality that she is a joy for the Bridal party to have with them as they prepare for the wedding ceremony.

I have always appreciated the attention and caring they bring to wedding guests, family and couples (I will always remember Lynne concealing a bride from her guests as she arrived in a small sports car at Rockliffe Park several years ago)

The Canadian is close enough to the city of Ottawa to consider it a short drive, but far enough out of the city that you are secluded from the noise of the highway and downtown stuff that goes on. It is a golf course, green and lush from spring through summer, yellows and oranges in the fall and clean fresh snow in winter - but the property is so well laid out that you don't feel overcrowded by homes on the golf course or by golfers walking through your ceremony whether it be inside (upstairs or in the larger ground level reception area) or outdoors at Tory's Garden.

Rylee, from the Canadian, was serving delicious food throughout the Bridal Show - everything was wonderful especially the macaroni balls. Rylee and Fauve are a great reflection of the quality of staff that Gail has assembled who are all professional, inviting and friendly.
